Orifice flanges are one of the most economical means of measuring flow, and Daehan Instruments' orifice flanges are manufactured specifically for accurate measurement. Automatic machine tools are used to meet the strict tolerances and recommendations required for the flanges, with close attention to tap position, bore surface condition, and machining of the bolt and flange faces.

Orifice flanges are manufactured from forged steel A.S.T.M. A-105. Other materials are manufactured by special order with extended delivery.

The DHOF-W assembly includes a pair of orifice flanges, an orifice plate, and bolts, nuts and gasket (per the ordering code table), and can be supplied with a meter run (Meter Run) if required.

Installation requirements

Straight run and installation notes

• The Weld Neck type is butt-welded to the pipe, the Socket Weld type is socket-welded, and the Slip On type is slipped over the pipe and welded. The flange rating is selected to match the process piping.
• With Flange Taps, the upstream and downstream taps are located 25mm from the plate. The tap connection is selected from NPT 1/2 · 3/4 or SW 1/2 · 3/4.
• Impulse piping (steam · liquid · gas service) and straight run lengths are determined according to the β ratio on the basis of ISO 5167, as described on the 'Orifice Tap Types · Installation Piping Requirements' page.
