💡 Design Considerations

  • β < 0.2: excessive pressure loss, cavitation risk
  • β > 0.75: low DP, reduced measurement accuracy
  • Optimal range: β = 0.4 to 0.6 (general process)
  • Straight Run: larger beta ratios require longer straight runs
  • Reynolds Number: Re > 5000 must be ensured
